April 2020 President’s Letter
A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
APRIL 2020
Greetings AFWA Members and Friends of the Chapter,
We hope you are all healthy and thriving (or at least surviving) in the new circumstances the world finds itself navigating in April of 2020. If you have not yet attended our bi-weekly Round Table, we invite you to join us this coming Tuesday at noon, for fellowship, best practices, and sharing of stories, challenges, and successes.
Knoxville AFWA appreciates everyone who attended our April Zoom webinar on the PPP and EIDL, and hope you found it interesting and informative. Your Board of Directors’ goal is to provide useful programming and community interaction to help everyone get through these challenging times as best we can. With this in mind, for May, we have partnered once again with our sponsor, Head Investment Partners, to share a presentation on “The COVID Recovery: Moving forward now that things have changed.” The program will focus on the future and making the most of the situation. For more information and to register, click HERE.
As you may have guessed, we will not be having our “Painting with a Twist” April Social next week, and if you have already registered, PWAT will give you credit towards a future class, with or without your AFWA friends. The Board is working to come up with a cheerful alternative, and at the very least we will plan a Zoom Happy Hour, but if you can think of something you would like to do all together (while apart) we welcome everyone’s suggestions!
We are grateful for each of you. Your membership, participation, fellowship, time and expertise have made our community a better place, and we look forward to the time we can all be together again.
Thank you.
Carol A. Fox
