Her primary research interest is state and local tax policy, and her research on §529 college savings plans and e-commerce has received national attention.
Dr. Luna is a CPA and received a B.B.A. in accounting from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver College of Law, and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.

Sweeping reforms occurred in 2014 to Tennessee’s Workers’ Compensation Law.  The change in law, spearheaded by Governor Haslam, was intended to streamline the process and to encourage the growth of business in Tennessee.  However, several pitfalls exist for both Employers and Employees.  Join us for an inside look at how the current system works, how Employers can protect themselves against rising insurance rates and litigious Employees.
